My goals for 2023

In my last post, I took inventory of everything I achieved during this year. For this article, I thought it’d be fun to make a list of the things I want to accomplish in 2023 so that I can look back at that list in December and see how far I’ve gone.

The list is no particular order of importance or priority, so here goes:

  • Pass the AWS Developer Associate
  • Pass the AWS SysOps Associate
  • Pass the AWS Devops Engineer
  • Learn Geometric Design (Analogue x Digital)
  • Improve at network / systems programming
  • Write a bootloader
  • Write a device driver
  • Start using bsd
  • Learn GitOps tools
  • Officially pivot from software development to SRE/Devops
  • Finally move out of France (Netherlands I’m looking at you)
  • Learn c++ and computer vision
  • Become fluent in Dutch
  • Become a Twitch Affiliate
  • Become a Twitch Partner
  • Learn adobe LightRoom in depth
  • Publish a photography zine
  • Launch a photography podcast
  • Apply for the estonian e-residency programme just for the fun of it
  • Get my boat license
  • Go scuba diving in egypt
  • Develop my own toy programming language
  • treat myself to more gifts
  • Learn video editing
  • Build my own mechanical keyboard
  • Improve my writing skills
  • Travel europe by train
  • Reach my goal weight
  • Learn new recipes
  • Submit a talk to a meetup (get over stage fear)
  • Mentor someone
  • Watch a UCL game live in a stadium
  • Learn to be more forgiving to myself

I’m hoping that, by making my list of goals public, I will have that much more motivation to see them through.
